It's not about who is put on the pedestal. It speaks to the qualities of the person putting someone on a pedestal: The willingness to elevate someone without diminishing themselves, recognition of the uniqueness of another. Putting someone on a pedestal is an act of generosity. They must possess these qualities in order to recognize them in another. It says more about them than the person they put on a pedestal. Too many times we are looking in the wrong direction. It doesn’t make a difference who the person is that someone puts on a pedestal.

It’s not about who is put on the pedestal. It speaks to the qualities of the person putting someone on a pedestal:
The willingness to elevate someone without diminishing themselves, recognition of the uniqueness of another.

Putting someone on a pedestal is an act of generosity. They must possess these qualities in order to recognize them in another.
