Getting what you want seems to be a near miss for so many people, if they even get in the ballpark! Part of the key to getting what you want is knowing exactly what it is you desire. It must be something that creates a deep longing, deep enough for you to be able to focus on it, and only it, to the exclusion of all others. Focusing on one thing can be very difficult and takes practice.
Ask yourself:
1. What is the one thing you want more than anything else?
That question may not be as easy as it seems. It seems easy to say, for instance, you want a relationship with a particular person, but what if that person isn’t as she or he appears? And, what of that person’s free will? Perhaps a better desire would be a loving relationship with your ideal partner. This isn’t as narrow and specific as the original request; by being more general about your desire, you are much more likely to get what you want. You’re being more open to all the goodness the universe has to offer you.
After you have figured out exactly what it is that you want, focus on it. You can’t focus on a few different things; you must focus on one thing at a time. Otherwise, your energy will be scattered, and you will not fully realize your desire. It’s kind of like souring the pot with too many things. Focus and believe. Then ask the universe (or God or whatever higher power you ascribe to) for your desire.
Getting what you want takes effort, so you will have to practice focusing on your desire every day, several times a day. Set aside a time and place where you won’t be disturbed. Then, think positive thoughts about your desire and believe you will receive it.
We can break our self-imposed chains and gain freedom through the Law of Attraction. It won’t always be easy because we’ve been raised in a society full of doubters. This doubt is contagious, slowly and insidiously wrapping its invisible chains around us. By the time we’re in our twenties, those invisible chains have usually been reinforced and locked up tight. We feel our loss of freedom as we “Keep up with the Joneses,” buying and doing things because it is expected of us, not because we truly want to.
We’re also a society of followers. Generations before us wore these “chains” – living by the “shoulds” and “should nots” and all the “dos” and “don’ts.” We willingly chain ourselves up and then unwittingly pass along those shackles to the next generation. We show them how it’s done and where to find the best chains, don’t we?
Well, isn’t it time you broke free? What is it you’d really like to do if you weren’t chained? What would you do to discover personal freedom through the Law of Attraction? Would you be willing to cast aside all doubt (your chains) and put as much effort into cultivating your spiritual life as you do your material life? Are you willing to break those chains?
If so, then gain freedom through the Law of Attraction by implementing it into your life today. There’s nothing to buy, and there’s no rigorous course to pass. You already have experience with life, and that’s a pretty rigorous course in itself. Now’s the time to graduate and break those chains. Study the Law of Attraction. Listen to your thoughts and your self-talk. Then work the Law of Attraction and watch those chains break. You can gain freedom through the Law of Attraction.
